Vinyl Floor Maintenance

*NEVER use wax or oil based cleaning agents. All purpose cleaners are not recommended as they can dull your floor’s finish or leave a hazy residue. Use furniture protectors to reduce indentation and walk off mat at the entrance to reduce the amount of dirt brought into your home.

*Do not use a mat that has a rubber or latex back as they may permanently stain your floor.

*Do NOT adhere any tape to the face of the floor as it will damage the finish.

*LUXUSflor recommends Bona brand cleaning products which are widely regarded as the best cleaning solution for urethane finish flooring.

*Sweep, vacuum or dust mop regularly.

*Use walk off mats at entrance doors and in front of kitchen sinks.

*Install proper felt protectors under chair and furniture legs to prevent scratching.

*Close curtains or blinds to limit direct sun exposure.

Wooden Floor Maintenance

Use a neutral detergent for daily cleaning, and avoid corrosive liquids that could damage the varnish layer. Dry the floor after each cleaning, avoid steam cleaning or water soaking, keep the floor dry, the room ventilated, and shield it from direct sunlight to prevent surface varnish aging and cracking.

F.A.Q.

Sweep or vacuum (with a soft brush attachment) to remove dirt and debris. For light cleaning, use a damp mop with warm water and a pH-neutral vinyl floor cleaner. Avoid excessive water.

Avoid harsh chemicals (bleach, ammonia, abrasive cleaners), wax-based polishes, and oil soaps, as they can strip the finish or leave residue.
Most vinyl is water-resistant, but prolonged exposure to standing water can seep into seams and damage subfloors. Wipe spills promptly.
High-quality vinyl can last 10–20 years depending on traffic and maintenance.
